NO unanimous demand

Activists’ voice becomes noise that politicians, the media and the public avoid, and caricaturists exploit

Often, activists’ requests are multiple and loosely linked. This undermines their actions because they create perplexity. They are also less effective than a unanimous demand.

Unclear actions’ aims and goals give decision-makers and the media an easy escape and excuse to discredit campaigners and protesters’ demands. Protests against President Trump held in Phoenix on 22 Aug 2017  were defined ‘noisy and unruly’. Actions with blurred focus can discourage wannabe demonstrators to rally to its cause.

Confusion and noise inspired the parody here on the right. In a grotesque caricature, unlikely demonstrators and slogans are put  together under the action’s theme ‘We do not give up on anything’.
